Our client is a leading distributor in a $23 billion industry, focused on partnering with its customers for success. The primary end markets in this industry include professional contractors, such as building service contractors, restoration contractors, as well as institutional facilities, such as schools, commercial buildings and government properties. The company has a national presence, industry-wide name recognition and significant potential for new growth, opening four new locations in six years.

Responsibilities:

  • Developing professional relationships with our customers both in person and over the phone
  • Identifying incremental sales opportunities within existing customer base
  • Establishing and qualifying new leads using resources such as marketing materials and vendor relationships
  • Providing product and technical advice
  • Educating customers through product demonstrations
  • Learning about new products and industry trends
  • Attending product/industry seminars and training events
  • Working together as a part of our nationwide sales team

Qualifications:

  • Strong Communications Skills with ability to talk technical to technical and non-technical people
  • Recent B2B Outside Sales experience
  • 5-10 years industrial sales experience
  • Strong self-starter
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Background in Construction or Building supply sales a plus

Compensation:

  • Base pay plus commissions with year one earnings up to $75k
