The Account Manager is the primary business contact for the customer and is responsible for the maintenance, and renewals of the client relationship. The Account Manager is expected to consistently provide excellent customer service, as well as represent client needs and goals within the organization. The Account Manager will build relationships with clients to encourage new program/product sales and repeat business opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Develop an overall understanding of assigned accounts and build relationships with key client users
  • Communicate value and differentiation messages to customers, geared towards repeat business and add-on sales
  • Achieve annual quota through sales of add-on membership domains and membership renewals
  • Manage account renewal process, to include accurate forecasting. Maintain information in CRM system.
  • Collaborate with field sales organization on new account transition
  • Supplying customers with timely responses regarding product, pricing, and company information
  • Provide web site usage support
  • Coordinates with finance on invoices and payment collections.

Professional Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree required, preferably in business-related field
  • Minimum 2 years experience in business to business sales or account management
  • Proven successful track record in achieving and exceeding sales quotas on a regular basis.
  • Ability to use initiative in identifying, addressing and resolving day to day issues and challenges.
  • Ability to communicate to peers and management clearly and in a timely manner on sales activities.
  • Experience selling to HR and/or research services background a plus

Compensation:

  • Base salary plus commissions to $90k at plan
